Northrop Grumman has been selected to provide advanced modeling, simulation, and threat development capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defence Agency (MDA), supporting the continuous operational readiness and training of missile defence forces through a new long-term contract.
The award, issued under the Modeling and Simulation Vistas – Threat and Advanced Simulation Development (MSV-TASD) program, carries a two-year base value of $68.8 million and includes five optional one-year extensions, bringing the potential total value to $606.5 million. The work will be executed through the U.S. Air Force’s Enterprise-Wide Agile Acquisition Contract (EWAAC).
The program focuses on delivering high-fidelity simulation environments and advanced threat models that enable the MDA to evaluate missile defence systems, train personnel, and prepare for an evolving range of complex missile threats. By recreating realistic operational scenarios, the technology is designed to enhance decision-making, system development, and mission planning while supporting round-the-clock operational requirements.
The new task order builds on Northrop Grumman’s longstanding partnership with the Missile Defence Agency, following nearly a decade of work under the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). The company aims to further expand its digital engineering capabilities by integrating scalable software development practices and AI-enhanced tools that accelerate simulation updates, improve technical performance and streamline program delivery.
